Mental Health – part 2

According to the 2011 Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) report, 26.2% of the homeless population had a severe mental illness. That is more than 1 in 4.
In 2015, the most extensive survey ever done on homelessness was undertaken by the Mental Illness Policy Organization, which indicated that 45% of the homeless has some or any form of mental illness. That is almost HALF the homeless population. It is truly an epidemic.
