Life at the Roadifer Resort

I’ve been slacking on the Sheli adventure updates, so here’s a quick update. My trip to Atlanta a couple weeks ago was amazing.  It was a gathering of women from across the country who are all part of a Bible study group I’m in.  Pics and a post coming soon…

In the meantime, I’m currently in Cheney, WA (for another week) at what I cheerfully refer to as the ‘Roadifer Resort’.

Here’s a few pics of my luxury accommodations….. (just the front and one half of the house, I’ll post more later) …. It’s like I’ve stepped into the pages of Sunset Magazine.
(Yes, I know how lucky I am to have the friends I have.)

I’m learning a lot at the Roadifer Resort.

Yesterday was a lesson on some basic vehicle maintenance, and earlier this week, I got a lesson on how to run the four wheeler. (How have I lived in Alaska for close to 40 years and didn’t know this?)

While I’ve been working hard on some business projects, I’ve also made a point of visiting nearby labyrinths in the area during my time here.  (You’ll be able to read about my labyrinth experiences in future Labyrinth Lessons posts.) So I was thrilled to have a chance to reconnect with Brenda, who also likes labyrinths. (Brenda is a friend and neighbor of Marcia & Randy’s.)

Somehow (yet also unsurprisingly), the topic of labyrinths came up and Brenda said she had always wanted to build a labyrinth on her property.

My ears instantly perked up and my heart started beating a little faster… And of course, I immediately offered to help. Consequently,  we spent hours today working on building a large labyrinth on an open field at Brenda’s property. Lucky me- its adjacent to the Roadifer Resort, so I’ll have easy access to it when its done!

Making Brenda's labyrinth dream come true!

Next week, I’m in Medford (for my dads birthday🎉) and the week after that, I’ll be in Florida.

So, catch (up with) me if you can!
