Labyrinth Lessons – Focus on Faith

Before Andrew, Mikayla and I headed out to Midlothian, TX to be extras in season three of The Chosen, we stopped at the labyrinth at Unity of Fort Worth (located at 5052 Trail Lake Drive). Their labyrinth was a lovely space and I was glad to discover this link on their website about walking labyrinths on their website.

The revelations from this walk occurred in Ft. Worth, TX on June 8, 2023, around 2:40 p.m. I went into the labyrinth with a very specific question.  And every one of the revelations was a direct response to my question, and they all centered around my faith journey.

How do these revelations resonate with you and your faith journey?

Spend more time alone with God.

This was interesting because I don’t recall hearing “Spend more time alone with me” in the context that it was coming from God…. I heard “Spend more time alone with God.”

So… who/where did THAT come from?

Prayer is the weapon I am not using, but need to.

The number of times I have been frustrated by the lack of answers or progress in getting where I want to be is outnumbered only by the number of times that people have encouraged me to “pray about it”.

So, yeah, this wasn’t necessarily well received by me, even if I know it to be true.

It’s not my responsibility to fix the problem,

I can be just a small part of the solution.

I am a fixer. I like to solve problems.

This was an important reminder that it’s not my responsibility to fix every problem situation. I can be PART of the solution- I can provide insight and perspective.  But not every solution will come from me.

That’s what makes me human.

It is what makes us ALL human.
