Dear friends, thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I’m in Seattle, and I’ll be boarding the flight to Dubai shortly. It’s about a 14 hour flight from Seattle to Dubai, with a 4-5 hour layover, then another eight hours from Dubai to Johannesburg, South Africa. We’ll be overnighting in Johannesburg and then fly into Lilongwe, Malawi, with a bus ride of about 2.5-3 hours to Salima.
I’m looking forward to almost 3 weeks in Africa – building with Habitat for Humanity for about 2 weeks and then ending with an incredible five day safari in Zambia.
I am so thankful and blessed for all of you who supported my Habitat for Humanity fundraising efforts over the last year. In the days and even hours leading up to my flight this morning, I had friends dropping off donations for the people of Salima (Malawi), as well as those of you who’ve made sure that I have everything I need for this trip. It takes a village to raise… Me 😂😬👍 and I am grateful for you all. I would not be going on this amazing trip without all of your support and love.
Friends and family have committed to praying for me, the Habitat for Humanity Global Village team, the people of Salima and the country of Malawi.
Thank you. Thank you all!
Stay tuned for pictures and posts on the amazing adventures ahead!
