2025, First Night of Hanukkah

Sunday, December 14

Shehecheyanu

Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, shehecheyanu, v’kiy’manu, v’higiyanu laz’man hazeh.

Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of all, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this season.

This Jewish blessing is all about gratitude for reaching meaningful moments – the kind that mark a fresh start or a milestone you’ve been working toward.

It’s recited on special occasions like birthdays and the opening night of Jewish holidays, such as Hanukkah. But it’s also for those personal “firsts” that matter to you – launching a new coaching program, welcoming your first live-in client of the season, tasting produce from a farmer’s market you’ve never visited, or even stepping into a newly redesigned space in your home after months of planning.

It’s a way to pause, acknowledge the journey that brought you there, and express thanks for being present in that moment.

On this first night of Hanukkah, may you pause to celebrate the new beginnings unfolding in your life. 🕊️ 🎉 🙌🏽
